"For Air France flights to Paris, I always get away with a crossbody bag, tote bag, and a carry-on suitcase but Delta is cracking down on the third item so be careful with them." I've always tried to make sure that *if necessary* I can "stuff" my crossbody bag inside my tote, or my tote inside my carry-on.
Fabulous post Heather 🥰 so many chic looks. I love what Banana Republic is doing this year BTW. Also I do hope you are feeling better. It can take a good 6-8 weeks to really feel like your self again after surgery. Rest and restore 🥰
Yes, I think Banana Republic and Cos are doing the best reasonably priced fashions right now. I feel pretty good but sometimes I still get a little tired if I try to do too much. Thank you!
This is so so full of info I will be coming back to it many times! I bought the Gap soft and love them! Good note to revisit. Also bought navy flannel pants you recommended last year from BR. That brand is doing great casual but sharp travel options and YOU reminded me!
Loved this post! So timely because I’m ready to buy a new carryon…I’m debating between the Hartman & Carl Friedrik? Would love your thoughts if you could only pick one?
I love my Hartmann carry-on because it expands and you can stuff more into it compared to a hard-sided carry-on bag. But I really love the color of the Carl Friedrik one too.
I love this post. I actually think present day Cindy's looks are more chic! Do you happen to know what she is wearing under the camel wool trench (where she is standing with her daughter) and bag and in the "black" with the bomber jacket and cargo pants. These looks would be great for the 20 somethings also and even for travel!
Great tips! I’m also a fan of St. John knit pants for travel. Lots of great deals online through TRR and other sites - less than $75 and very versatile.
I second this rec! I have a vintage pair that I wear with sneakers on the plane and with a blazer and heels I can go straight from the plane to client meetings. So comfortable and chic!
Admittedly it’s been a few years since I travelled more than a hop to the mainland, but my clothing for long haul travel has always been to take clothes from my give-away/Limbo pile and leave them behind. Old socks, underwear, tights (this stuff is binned), clothing and shoes are all game to be abandoned in my hotel room. I’ve left clothes in Paris, London, New York, Nashville, San Francisco and Vancouver, with a note (and a hefty tip): Keep for yourself or donate.
I travel with one carry on and a purse, never check luggage, and often come home with room to spare. Dresses are often a big part of my travel wardrobe, and they’re easy, comfy and look great.

Thank you Heather - always the best. Xx
Thank you!
H, I share your frustration re Italian Ponte pants at J. Crew but I have swapped for these and they're fine. I am currently looking for a proper sub and will stock up when I find them. But wore theses for recent DC run and I was very happy. Zip fly is a little casual but I generally wear them w/ a tunic style top so it was a non issue. As always, appreciate your rigorous research! https://www.jcrew.com/p/BB458?mode=add&N=LARGE&NUM_ITEMS=1&cartId=c28743750b749d283dcc0030eb&color_name=black&selectedShipmentId=HOME
Those look great! I prefer a longer and wider leg pant for travel in the colder months.
Really enjoyed this.
Thank you!
Love the selections! So chic
Thank you!
Thank you so much for your posts! Do you have any recommendations for a good travel skirt? I have sensory issues and find pants to be claustrophobic.
I don't have a specific recommendation but I'd try a knit midi skirt.
thank you!
I always look forward to your posts!
Thank you so much!

I have the BR brown coat and love it!!!
This was a lovely informative post 🙏🏼

Ok this helps! So torn but love the idea of being able to maybe stuff a bit more in 🤣 thank you 🙏🏼
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” Hits home specially this weekend!! Gorgeous edit x
Hope you are having a nice trip!

Thank you so much! This is marvelous. Hope you are feeling far better.
